Info Kibat Commander,
Subject: report on the investigation of 21 January on suspect cargo of an
aircraft which landed at Kigali international airport
1. On the instructions of the sector I went to Kigall airport on 211930 Jan.
Upon arrival there I contacted the leader of the Rwandan military who are
unloading the aircraft. This was Major Tereraho of MINADEF. I explained the
matter to him and he immediately showed me the cargo manifest. I searched
the trucks on site as well as the cargo area of the cargo plane. The nature of
the cargo is described below. I passed this information on to S3 who
instructed me that the cargo should not be moved. The cargo was destined
for Kanombe. At approximately 21-10 hours UNMOs commanded by Captain
Fall (Senegal) arrived at the airfield with instructions to escort the cargo to
Kanombe. I was at that time relieved of my assignment. Major Tereraho
handed the cargo manifest over to Captain Fall,
