MOSCOW, April 12 (Reuter) - Moscow evacuated staff of the Russian
embassy and international airline Aeroflot and their families from the
war-torn Rwandan capital Kigali on Tuesday, Itar-Tass news agency said.
It quoted a senior foreign ministry official as saying 22 people,
including eight women and three children, were flown to neighbouring
Burundi and then on to Moscow.
Most Western countries have already evacuated their citizens from the
central African country following the assassination of the presidents
of Rwanda and Burundi last week.
