Gérard Nkusi is a Rwandan warrant officer, aviation mechanic, who left on April 6, 1994 at 5:30 a.m. in the Nord Atlas plane. The crew is made up of Jean-Michel Lacoste, Alain Boitel, Innocent Mugenzi and him. They stop at Mwanza. The conference was held at the Kilimanjaro Hotel. They slept the night of April 6-7 at the Star Light Hotel. In the North Atlas, there were two advisors to President Habyarimana, Barabwiriza Runyinya and Simon Insonere. He returned to Zaire, to Bukavu, at the time of Operation Turquoise. Three planes went to Dar es Salaam on April 6, 1994: the President's Falcon, the Nord-Atlas and an Air Rwanda plane.
