Heavy fighting broke out on the morning of April 7 in Kigali, a few hours after the plane crash in which the President of Rwanda and his Burundian counterpart perished. The cause of the accident is not yet officially established but several close to the Hutu power already affirm in private that the RPF "is at the origin of this attack".
