NAIROBI, Reuter 13 (Reuter) - Fifty-two foreign students studying at a
technical institute in the bloodied central African state of Rwanda
were evacuated on Wednesday.
The students, from the Congo, Guinea, Burundi and Niger were flown to
the Kenyan capital Nairobi, from where they would proceed to their
native countries.
One student said: This war has messed up two years of my study. I had
a year to go, now I will have to start anew.
Asked about life in the past week -- since Rwandan President Juvenal
Habyarimana was killed in a rocket attack on his plane -- student
Hasuna Mousoba, 26, said: Just leave that. I never saw so much mayhem
in my life. So, so disastrous.
