KINSHASA, April 9 (Reuter) - Zaire President Mobutu Sese Seko ordered a
special requiem mass to be said for the presidents of neighbouring
Burundi and Rwanda, killed when their plane exploded at Kigali airport.
The mass for Rwandan President Juvenal Habyarimana, Burundi President
Cyprien Ntarymira and the thousands of civilian victims of the Rwanda
killings was celebrated on Friday in Mobutu's tropical headquarters of
Gbadolite.
Zaire has announced eight days of national mourning to mark the deaths,
but on Saturday shops in Kinshasa were trading as normal and roads were
busy with traffic.
