The account of the rescue of Maggie Corréa's family in Hanika on July 16, 1994 by Guillaume Ancel and his legionnaires appears on pages 204 to 209. It shows that the region of Hanika, near Kirambo between Cyangugu and Kibuye, is in the middle of the Humanitarian Zone sure, but the Interahamwe rule there and the French try to avoid confronting them. There are corpses by the side of the road, but here they are militiamen killed by the Legion.
